Hotel H Sankuriang designed by PDW Architects
The boutique hotel has 42 rooms, two of which are suites. On the site, there was an existing one-story house in Art Deco/The International style; a typical to the colonial houses in Bandung. PDW was in charge in proposing designs which would preserve old building. The challenge of using restoration as concept for design requires deeper understanding on the style we wanted to preserve.

This project is located in Bandung, Indonesia.
Bandung is the capital city of West Java province of Indonesia. Located in the island of Java, Greater Bandung is the country’s second-largest and most populous metropolitan area, with over 11 million inhabitants.Bandung has cooler year-round temperatures than most other Indonesian cities.
The new building is designed in Art Deco Style. It emphasizes streamline curves taken from the existing building and functioned as to adjoin both new and old building together. Lit-up marble partitions are used to separate balcony of each room in the additional building. We emphasize the sense of Art Deco by adding luxurious touch.
